Not a one

It's 900pm, so I think that the ghouls and goblins are back in their homes. And we didn't have one single trick-or-treater! Oh well--that just means we get to eat the candy instead!

Do you have any fun trick-or-treat stories? I told Brett about the dentist down the street who gave away toothbrushes. What a treat to go to his house, huh? And one year I went to a house that was giving away donuts.

Happy Halloween!

My friend's mom worked for Nestle, so we always made a beeline for their house, because they gave out full-size Nestle product. No good stories from tonight, except that I learned a valuable lesson: ALWAYS trick-or-treat with a small child in a cute costume (for me, a 2-year-old UPS man, complete with box for people to put his candy in). It's tons of fun, and cute kids with UPS-box-treat-holders get twice the candy.

We turned the light off before 8pm. I bought a humongous bag with kit kats, nestle bars, whopper, milk duds. Must have had about 40 trick or treaters. I would say about 5 were small children. Saw a real cute Winnie the Pooh, a couple BackYardigans and one Thomas the Train. Rest were 5ht grade and above with their pillow cases ready. Most of the time dad went to the door because some of them knew that "Dr. Squiers" lives here and they wanted to see him. He is sooo popular:) When he saw kids from the Christian school, he asked them to say their memory verse before he doled out the candy!! They just did what they were told:) But now I have no candy left:(

Maybe it's because you have a scary lawyer that lives at your house...

my dad forgot to get candy one year so he handed out instant grits instead - he had little packets in the pantry already. I'm sure those kids were thrilled. :)

Funny story...when I was in 5th grade I went trick-or-treating with 4 friends. No lie, one of my friends pooped in her pants while we were going door-to-door. Gross!
