New York

I just got back from a fantastic weekend with my dad in New York to see the Yankees. He is an old time Yankees fan and he loved seeing the stadium and eating at Trattoria Trecolori. Check out some of the pictures....

Eating dinner at Trattoria Trecolori:

You'll notice that this picture is eerily similar to the same picture that Merritt and I took in NY in 2005. That's because we ate at the same restaurant and sat at roughly the same location!

I didn't know y'all were frequenters of the Big Apple!

We're not yankees fans (AT ALL), but Mark also wants to see a game there before they tear the stadium down, so we have plans to visit NYC next August (when we can also catch some early rounds of the US Open in Flushing Meadows).

What are your favorite 10 things in NYC"? Since you're the experts, we need some personal "see, do, and eat" recommendations!

The stadium being torn down: that's EXACTLY why B and his dad made sure that they went! I really wish I could have gone, as the only time I have been was in 2005. I'm not really an expert, but I'll list some of my favorites:
1. Rockefeller Center at Christmastime-it's too pretty not to love even though the mob of people is insane.
2. Trattoria Trecolori-it's where we ate and B took Charlie. Must go there.
3. The plays. I LOVE Broadway.
4. The view from the Empire State Bldg.
5. The shopping! Ahhh! It's glorious to have so many stores!
6. FAO Schwartz. I'm a kid at heart.
7. Museums like the MET
8. The Staten Island Ferry ride.
9. Sipping hot chocolate when it's freezing outside and people-watching. It's a great town for that.
10. The best thing about NYC is that I'm not living there, paying $3 grand a month for a 700 sq ft apartment!
